Junior Shoresh

Ages 3-6

These precious campers enjoy a full range of Shoresh activities, including sports, nature, swimming, and crafts. Jewish themes are incorporated throughout the day. We take special care to pair our junior campers with exceptionally caring, enthusiastic, and creative counselors. Junior campers enjoy their own wing in our Community Center, as well as their own private playground equipped with age-appropriate climbing structures, swings, and slides. Situated in close proximity to the playground is a pavilion designated solely for use by our youngest campers. In addition, these youngsters have private swim time in our beautiful graded-entry pool and fenced-in wading pool for those campers still too young to swim in our bigger pool. Basic swim lessons are provided for Junior Shoresh at no additional cost. Our zap line is an exciting element that allows our junior campers an opportunity to have a fun zip line experience. Juniors have at least one off-site trip per session at no additional cost. As with all of the Shoresh programs, safety is always our primary concern.

Our high challenge course consists of a 675' long zip line, rock wall, cargo net, Jacob's Ladder, Free Fall Swing, and the Traverse. New elements include Stairway to Heaven and Round Robin. Our low challenge course is a combination of ropes, tires, wooden structures, and cables comprising many different elements designed to strengthen individual and team skills. Our zap line is a zip line that is geared for kids of all ages. It can be accessed from a set of stairs and is not as high - but just as exciting - as our main zip line.

Community Center

The Cohen - Davison - Weinberg Community Center provides a beautiful and spacious multi-purpose room ideal for mealtimes, assemblies, concerts, and performances. The Crane Early Childhood Center enables our youngest campers to enjoy bunk rooms and an arts & crafts center designed exclusively for them.

Swimming

Our pool house, with separate changing rooms for girls and boys, leads into our privately enclosed beach-entry style swimming pool. This graded entrance allows swimmers of all ages and levels to ease into the water. Our flume slide is guaranteed to make daily swim times fun and exciting. Certified lifeguards are always present during swim time.

Jewish Heritage

Jewish heritage becomes meaningful and beautiful through our small, informal study groups. These learning sessions with the counselors, rabbis, and guest speakers are complemented by Jewish activities such as Judaica crafts and challah baking.

The Junior Shoresh Division has one off-campus trip each session. This summer's "Big Camp" and CIT trips include Hershey Park and Guppy Gulch. The CIT Division has one additional off-campus trip each session.
