Adult Education

The Shoresh Adult Education Program began more than three decades ago when the Shoresh teens returned from a life-altering Israel trip and the parents begged to be included in all of the amazing programming. Starting with a crash course in Hebrew reading, the current Adult Ed program features several classes and discussion groups each week in an intimate and accepting setting.

Rabbi Tzvi Tuchman, Assistant Director, teaches all across Frederick, Montgomery County, Virginia, and Baltimore. He discusses a myriad of Jewish topics in small home groups, Lunch & Learns, and larger gatherings in homes, offices, coffee shops and synagogues. His knowledge is vast, his love of Judaism is apparent, and his warmth is felt by everyone he meets. Programming is tailor-made to interest all participants who gain new insight and understanding into our rich Jewish heritage and often delight in the spirited debate that develops as we discuss contemporary issues.

Rabbi Menachem Goldberger, our B. Stanley Resnick Scholar-In-Residence, continues to serve as staff advisor, guest lecturer for various adult education classes, and Rabbinic Scholar for our annual Family Shabbaton.

We are in the process of starting up our adult education classes for 2021-2022. Please see below for current class information. To join an existing group or create a new one, please contact us.
