The Shoresh Adult Educational Programming includes a wide variety of classes and discussion groups on topics relating to all aspects of Judaism and Jewish life. Programming is tailor-made to interest all participants who gain new insight and understanding into our rich Jewish heritage and often delight in the spirited debate that develops as we discuss contemporary issues.
Get to know Rabbi T., our fabulous adult education director, as he visits Frederick, Gaithersburg, North Potomac, MD and plans to start soon in Ashburn and Leesburg, VA. He discusses a myriad of Jewish topics in small home groups, lunch n’ learns, and larger gatherings in homes, offices, coffee shops and synagogues. His knowledge is vast, his love of Judaism is apparent and his warmth is felt by all he meets. Favorite discussion groups led by Rabbi T. have included, “Jukebox of Judaism Series,” “Age of the Universe,” “Love and Intimacy,” “Kabbalah 101,” “Hebrew Reading Crash Course,” “Genesis In-Depth,” “Jewish History Timeline Series,” “Holiday Seminars,” “Power of Song” and “Astrology and Judaism.”
Rabbi Menachem Goldberger, our B. Stanley Resnick Scholar-In-Residence, continues to serve as a guest lecturer for various adult education classes, staff advisor, and acts as the Rabbinic Scholar for our Family Shabbaton.
